29th April to 30th May - Rayleigh Speedway Exhibition - Learn about the fascinating history of Rayleigh Speedway Stadium and the Rayleigh Rockets Speedway Team.


Sunday, 14th June - Rayleigh Trinity Fair. The Museum will be open, and our usual gazebo will be in the High Street. 


Wednesday, 24th June to Sat. 29th August  -  "The Romans", a NEW Exhibition.

Sunday, 21st June - Rayleigh Town Walk - Hear about the Bathchair Murder, Peculiar People, Rayleigh's listed buildings etc.  Led by Mike Davies - Meet outside the Museum at 91 High Street, Rayleigh at 10:30am - Limit 15 people per walk. Approx 2 hours including Museum visit and refreshments. £6.00 for Friends of the Museum and £8.00 for non Friends. Tickets are available from the Museum, call 01268 773535 or email welcome@rayleightownmuseum.org


Sunday, 12th July - Linda and Alan Davison are very kindly opening their garden in Rayleigh between 10am and 5pm to Friends.  Tickets will be on sale in the Museum from Wednesday 6th May, priced at £4 for Friends and £5 for Non-Friends.  There will be refreshments and cakes available to purchase and also some plants.

Sunday, 2nd August - British Fairies - Stories and Legends. Enjoy fairy stories and legends from across the British Isles and meet some of the fairies who inhabit the world.  A talk by Jane Piper

Sunday, 29th November -  "Ghost Stories" - Jane Piper returns this year with more ghostly tales.
