Wednesday 2nd October to 31st October - Railways Exhibition

Celebrating 70 years since the completion of the electrification of the Shenfield-Southend Victoria Railway line in 1956.

Featuring rarely seen photographs of the last days of steam locomotives and the early electric trains

4th November to 21st November - Remembrance Exhibition - files for the lost people of Rayleigh (which are always available to view in the Museum's Research Area) will be out on tables.


Sunday, 1st November - A talk by Jane Piper and Laura Adkins - "Essex Myths and Legends".


Sunday, 15th November - “Stories from Colditz” a talk by Dave Windle. Dave will tell us of the many attempted escapes and other fascinating facts from this WW2 prison.


Sunday, 29th November -  "Ghost Stories" - Jane Piper returns this year with more ghostly tales.


December - "A Tudor Christmas" 


Sunday, 13th December - Our Christmas Quiz is back.
